Robert Kidd Gallery (Birmingham) - Cathy Daley

Opening May 16, 2009: Cathy Daley
Recent Works on Vellum

Simple elegance through fresh and masterful strokes of the brush... Daley's powerful pastel-wash drawings in rich blacks and subtle translucent grays are sexy and stylish. Her work offers a forceful critique of the fashion industry and the recognition of fashion as an object of pleasure, an embodiment of fantasy, and a vehicle of play.

This Saturday, May 16th, 5-8pm: Bring a friend for an evening with the artist and her stunning recent works.
